Congratulations to the 186 individuals who participated in this year’s Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon on Sunday September 27! Your energy and enthusiasm made it a fabulous time for all and a very successful fundraiser for the Hope for Children Foundation's families.

Giving HOPE at Christmas

Every year, dozens of individuals, families and groups help spread the joy at Christmas through our Adopt-a-Family Program. For children and families living in poverty, being ‘adopted’ at Christmas time means they can enjoy holiday meals, warm clothing, toys and other gifts. Without your support, Christmas can be a dismal time for some of our families.

How does it work? Register online at www.hopeforchildren.ca/adoptafamily and a member of our Branch staff will provide you with a family profile and their special wish list. It’s up to you to decide how much you would like to contribute and which items you would like to purchase. If you cannot do the shopping, you can still donate gift cards or make cash donations to the Foundation’s Christmas Fund.

Adopting a family is a rewarding way to share the spirit of giving. And it’s even more fun when you get together with family, friends, neighbours or co-workers! Have a bake sale, silent auction or other community activity, and raise awareness about children in need and how raising funds for them can create a memorable Christmas.
