We're excited about the following initiative of CCAS in partnership with other Ontario CAS's and wanted to share this information with valued supporters like yourself.
"I Am Your Children’s Aid” Campaign"
Have you seen any of the ads about Children’s Aid Societies? The “I Am Your Children’s Aid” campaign is giving Ontario residents a fresh perspective on Children’s Aid Societies (CASs) and the great work they do. The campaign tells the personal, authentic stories of youth, families, foster and adoptive parents and workers whose lives have been touched by their local CAS. The campaign is sponsored by the Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Societies.
“Get involved. Go to useyourvoice.ca.”
Catholic Children’s Aid and other CASs want to engage more people to foster and/or adopt, and advocate for the well-being of children and youth, and attract more volunteers and supporters like you!
Up Close and Personal
Through the “I Am Your Children’s Aid” campaign you’ll meet several remarkable individuals—former children in care who are now adults, families who were helped, foster parents and caseworkers—who embody the heart, hope, vision and mission of Catholic Children’s Aid Society (CCAS) and other CASs.
CCAS in the Campaign!
Two of the ads proudly feature Marian, former CCAS youth in care, and Linda Weseloh, CCAS foster mother.
As a youth, Marian suffered physical abuse. She blossomed under CCAS care, going on to earn a full track scholarship, two Master’s Degrees, a career as a Linguist and Speech Therapist and winner of the title, Miss Eboness.
Linda Weseloh fostered many children from developing countries, including Marian, and offered them a second chance at a happy childhood and a loving home.
